Mr. Osmanagic explains the pyramids to the visitors
This interview - commented by myself - was made by a visitor at the foot of the "pyramid of the Moon" (Pljesevica), probably at the end of the 2006 summer; and this visitor had the opportunity to benefit from Mr. Osmanagic’s scientific explanations. The below extracts - that tell us more about Mr. Osmanagic himself than about the "pyramids" - were transcripted by Stultitia (bs) and translated by myself. The original video in Bosnian can be seen on YouTube (bs).

Osmanagic: Evidently the age of the pyramid is very ancient. Let’s say that each centimeter [of soil] represents two (...)

Geology of the Bosnian "pyramids"
During the summer of 2006, the excavations made by the "Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun" Foundation on the two hills of Visocica (en) and Pljesevica (en) have revealed some features (sloping stone slabs, "pavements" and "terraces") that can, for the layman, appear as artificial. But all these features can receive a totally natural explanation, and similar ones have been described by geologists in other places in the world. I do not intend to provide here a real geological and geomorphological study of Visoko region (a terrain work would be needed for that), but rather to show that all the (...)

The "Pyramid of the Moon" - Pljesevica
Begun in April 2006, the excavations have taken place, till May, exclusively on Visocica - the "pyramid of the Sun" - and it was not considered to dig on the other "pyramides" in 2006, nor even in 2007. However, a news from the 14th of May (en) on the Foundation website announced the discovery, at the foot of the South face of the "pyramid of the Moon" (Pljesevica), of a "mosaic flooring, of sandstone slabs finely decorated with a relief". In fact, the discovery of this "mosaic" was made by a six years old child from the village of Pljesevica: probably inspired by the media turmoil about (...)

The "Pyramid of the Sun" - Visocica
When the excavations began, on the 14th of April 2006, Visocica hill, called "pyramid of the Sun" by Mr. Osmanagic, was the main center of the Foundation interest. At that time, Visocica was supposed to be the only one to be excavated during 2006, and even during 2007, when there was just a project for a few probes on the other "pyramids".
Excavations took place at the beginning in three trenches, on the North-East of Visocica and on the "access plateau" at the West of the hill; then the trenches became more and more numerous, particularly on the North face (the one that is the most often (...)

Scientific reports from July 2006
Since the first reports made before the beginning of the excavations (satellite (en) and geological (en) analyses), the Foundation has till now published only two new reports (bs) for the 2006 campaign, respectively on the 18th and 19th of July (the third "report", dated 31st July, is only a "re-writing" of the first two ones by Nakija Nukic, the team geologist).
Let’s begin with the Federal Institute for Agro-Pedology report (bs), dated from the 19th of July. It is a fax sent by the Institute to the Foundation, and the report seems complete. It is a very classical analysis of the soils, (...)

A certain lack of professionalism
The 2006 excavation campaign has begun in the "valley of the pyramids" in Visoko on April 14th, and it is supposed to continue until the end of October. During this campaign, the Foundation website has been updated on a daily basis - at least for the Bosnian version - with short statements and press releases, and hundreds of photographs of the excavations. So there seems to exist a wish for "transparency" from Mr. Osmanagic. However:
most of the published photographs are of very low quality, usually the photographs published by visitors on various forums are much better; not to mention (...)
