The "preliminary evidence"
I shall write in this part about the "discovery" of the Bosnian pyramids, and about the way their existence was asserted, in 2005 and in the beginning of 2006, even before any excavation was made, on the basis of various "evidence": geometrical, geological, mythological...

Mysterious spheres...
To end with what I called the "preliminary evidence", which Mr. Osmanagic used to proclaim the existence of the pyramids even before any excavation was done, there still are the "mysterious stone spheres" (kamene kugle), to which he devoted an entire chapter of his book on "the pyramid of the Sun" (see here (en) for an analysis of this book). These spheres have been deemed by the Foundation sufficiently important for a "Subcommittee for Prehistoric Stone Spheres" to be created, devoted to the study, among other things, of their "energy benefits" (this "subcommittee", as all the other (...)

Of tunnels...
Another "scientific proof" of the existence of the pyramids, as presented by the Foundation in this document (in Bosnian (bs) and in English (en)), is the so-called "extensive tunnel network" in the valley. Mr. Osmanagic claims that this "tunnel network" is connecting all the "colossal objects" of the valley, and that the existence of this underground network is characteristic for the pyramids in all the world (this last idea is quite disputable, as a lot of pyramids do not have an associated underground complex).
This idea, of a tunnel network, is founded, it seems, on some old rumors (...)

The geophysical (satellite) analysis
A study of the "pyramids", using various remote sensing techniques, has been made during the winter 2005-2006. The scientific report, dated from February 2006, can be downloaded (en) on the Foundation website, and is also available below (English pdf file):
There also are, on the Foundation website, two documents in Bosnian (doc files), with the title "Satellite and radar imagery analysis" (bs), and "Satellite and thermal imagery analysis" (bs), but these two documents are a "re-writing" by the Foundation of the scientific report, and the single complete report is the one in English (...)

The geological probes
In August 2005, Mr. Osmanagic had (on his own funds apparently) a series of drillings done on Visocica hill, with the aim of confirming his "hypothesis" of the pyramid of the Sun. The results are presented in three different documents, and with some nuances: first of all in the report of October-November 2005 by the geologist Nadija Nukic, engaged by Mr. Osmanagic; Ms. Nukic’s results are then included in Mr. Osmanagic’s book "The Bosnian pyramid of the Sun" published in December 2005; and finally these results are again partially used and criticized by the geologists of the University of (...)

The "valley of the pyramids"
As soon as he had his first "revelation" of the existence of a pyramid under the hill of Visocica in April 2005 (see here (en)), Mr. Osmanagic was convinced that this pyramid is not unique. On the other side of the valley, Pljesevica Hill is immediately identified as "sister pyramid", and the two hills are renamed: pyramid of the Sun and pyramid of the Moon.
Very soon, one then two other pyramids (en) are discovered in Visoko valley; to the first ones are then added the pyramids of the Dragon (Buci Hill), of Earth (or temple of Earth - Krstac) and of Love (Cemerac). The pyramid inflation (...)

How old?
If the size of the pyramid is a little bit "elastic", its age is apparently still more variable! In this article (en) (see "The figures really don’t add up"), Alun Salt picks up Mr. Osmanagic’s numerous contradictions: once he claims that the Bosnian pyramid has been made after the Egyptian and Mexican ones, the other time that it was constructed a long time before them (it is said to be "the mother of all pyramids"). The claims emanating from members of the Foundation are much varying on this subject: usually, the few scientists of the team are very discreet, and say they cannot make (...)

The "discovery" of the pyramid of the Sun
Semir Osmanagic relates his discovery in his book about the pyramid of the sun ("Bosanska piramida Sunca", that you can read here (bs) in Bosnian, a partial translation in English is here (en)). During a trip across Bosnia, with his friends Bojan Zecevic and Jovo Jovanovic, a trip apparently aimed at studying the "stone spheres", these mysterious objects claimed by Mr. Osmanagic to be "energetic" objects (see this text (en) about them), Mr. Senad Hodovic, director of Visoko Museum, talks about "an interesting phonomena, a hill with a pyramidal shape". This seems very interesting to Mr. (...)

The book "The Bosnian pyramid of the Sun"
by Semir Osmanagic
I will try here to summarize the content of Semir Osmanagic’s book (bs) "The Bosnian pyramid of the Sun - Discovery of the first European pyramids" (a partial translation in English is now available on the Foundation website (en)).
Introduction
"12,500 years ago a large part of the European continent was under deep layers of ice. Areas of Southern Europe from France through Spain, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia, Turkey and Caucasian areas have grown rapidly with human cultures.
Developed societies of the Pacific, Atlantic and Mediterranean have left a strong outline on the architecture, social (...)

A "perfect" pyramid?
One of the first questions that can be asked, concerning the "pyramid of the Sun", is that of its exact shape. Indeed, the "perfect" shape of Visocica is often stressed by Mr. Osmanagic, and is used as "proof" of its artificial nature (meaning: nature cannot have produced so perfect a shape): see for instance the first paragraph in the document "Naucni argumenti" - "Scientific arguments", published in May 2006 on the Fondation website (it can be downloaded here (bs)), called "A perfect geometry" (an english version of this "report" can be downloaded there (en)).
In Mr. Osmanagic’s book (...)
